Before you plan
Islamic dates depend on the moon sighting and can shift by a day or two. Stock, creatives and courier capacity should be ready about two weeks before each date, because auctions get more crowded as the date gets closer.
The 2027 dates
- 7 January: Coptic Christmas
Gifts, sweets, family gatherings.
- About 8 February: Ramadan starts (estimate)
Evening and late-night browsing grows, food, home, gifts and Eid clothing rise. Ramadan creatives should be ready before it starts.
- 14 February: Valentine's Day, inside Ramadan in 2027
Keep gift messaging respectful of the month.
- About 10 March: Eid al-Fitr (estimate)
Clothing, gifts, sweets, outings. Plan the last delivery date for cash-on-delivery orders before Eid.
- 21 March: Mother's Day in Egypt
Gifts, beauty, jewellery, flowers, restaurants. It comes shortly after Eid in 2027, so budgets need planning across both.
- 3 May: Sham El-Nessim
Outings, food, spring and summer products.
- About 16 May: Eid al-Adha (estimate)
Travel, clothing, food and home.
- June to August: summer and the North Coast
Travel, summer fashion, beach products, cooling.
- September: back to school
Uniforms, stationery, laptops, courses.
- Late November: White Friday
The heaviest discount week of the year and some of the most expensive ad auctions. Offers must be real and clear.
How to use this calendar
Pick the two or three dates that matter for your product, not all of them. For each, write down the offer, the creatives, the stock, the last delivery date and the budget, a month in advance. Keep an always-on campaign running so the seasonal one is not starting from zero.
The date most brands miss
In 2027 Eid al-Fitr and Mother's Day are about eleven days apart. Brands that plan them as one season, with stock and delivery capacity for both, avoid running out right when demand peaks.
